Gracie's Story...
It would really be great if Gracie would stand up so you can see how beautiful she is! But Gracie likes to snuggle up in her bed and gets that look about her as if she's saying, "I'm not getting up for you". She is truly gorgeous, and this blue cream torti is only 8 months old and hoping for a fabulous home of her own. She came in with several other cats that were living behind a local store and our animal control officer helped out the staff in catching the feline family to bring them to safety. Gracie spent some time getting big and strong and now she's ready to move on. She was very shy when she arrived but with lots of love and patience, she has come around so much. Gracie is still a bit shy and will need a more quiet, commotion-free home where she can take her time to settle in. She does goof around and play like a kitten sometimes, then when she realizes that you're watching her, she goes back to being mature. Once she gets to know you Gracie is super sweet and loving, and she gets along fine with other cats too. If you can offer Gracie the great home she deserves, come in and meet her. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gracie, a Forked River Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
