My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Callie, and I am an adorable cuddle-bug of a slate-gray and white DSH little girl who was born in October 2016. I bask in all the attention that my foster mom showers on me -- whether it's rubbing my belly, brushing me, or just petting me while I'm curled up in her lap. Not only do I enjoy being up close and personal with humans, I love snuggling with the other kittens in my foster home.
And I don't like my foster mom's ignoring me if I'm the mood for her to play with me; so to get her attention, I climb up her leg until she gets down on the floor to play with me. But she doesn't mind the interruption: she usually needs a break. And of course I love to chase balls with bells as well as catnip mice -- not to mention romping and rough-and-tumbling with the other foster kittens.
Now the big dog is another matter. I am still getting acclimated to him, so I hiss at him. My foster mom assures me that he's friendly, so I'm sure that one day I can trust him to be my buddy too.
I am very grateful to my foster mom for taking me home from the city shelter. I had initially been trapped as a wee tyke as part of BARC's trap-neuter-release program for feral community cats. I was one of the lucky kittens who was still young enough to be fully socialized and adoptable. Thank heavens! My foster mom says that I was much too young and cute to be returned to the hardscrabble outdoor life. Even though I hissed at her a lot at first, she was patient with me until I came to trust her (just like I will eventually do with the big dog!)
I assure you that I will be a welcome addition to just about any family situation, so please come meet me today!
Callie is updated on shots, spayed, dewormed, microchipped, FIV/ FeLV negative, and ready for her indoor-only home. No de-clawing permitted. Her adoption fee is $125 for kittens 9 months old and younger, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. Please click the contact button if you are interested in Callie, and we can let you know exactly where you can meet her.
