Ace's Story...
Meet Ace! Ace is a handsome boy who would love to be your hiking or running partner. Ace and his brother were purchased from a breeder to become working/farm dogs, but neither one could quite get the hang of it.

They just want to be with humans and family dogs.

Ace is a very sweet, friendly dog who is in need of a bit of obedience training and a job. He will hunt outside cats and other small outside prey(rabbits, chickens prairie dogs.)

Ace is almost two years old, up to date on all vaccinations, and is ready to find his new home.

These boys are not a bonded pair and will do best finding their own separate new families.

If you are interested in meeting or adopting one of our pets or have questions about the process please see our website at www.adoptmountainpets.org or call the Shelter between 11:00 am and 5:00 pm Tuesday through Sunday. 970 626 2273

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ace, a Ridgway Australian Shepherd/Catahoula Leopard Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Catahoula Leopard Dog for sale in Ridgway, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Catahoula Leopard Dog dog from a breeder in Ridgway.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ridgway already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ridgway breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Catahoula Leopard Dog breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Catahoula Leopard Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ridgway paves the way for another one to be saved.
