Here's what the humans have to say about me:
LAKOTA was an owner surrender to an overcrowded low adoption rate pound on 5-14-16. We were fortunate to have been able to transfer her to our facility and are now actively looking for a good home for her. Having spent close to one year in a small cage, Lakota is really flourishing now. This pretty gray on white tabby has a very unusual black striped tail! She is very laid back and is very quiet and sweet. She loves any attention she can get. We know nothing about why she was surrendered, unsure of her age at this point. Looking for a quiet, but loving kitty? Then you must come meet Lakota during shelter adoption hours!
The animals that are posted are available, unless it is stated 'adopted'. If one is 'pending' you still may submit an application in case the adoption does not go through. The Wyandotte Animal Adoption Center has created a committee who reviews all applications before releasing any animal to a new home.
If you visit our homepage www.wacshelter.com where there are links to the questionnaire/application that helps us to place the animals into homes that match both the adopterâÂÂs and animalâÂÂs needs. Wyandotte Animal Adoption Center reserves the right to decline the adoption of any animal for any reason if it feels the home will not be a good match.
IMPORTANT PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
We will make every attempt to contact approved applicants within 5 business days of application submission (M-F), but this will depend on the number of applications received.
Please understand that by answering the questions does not guarantee the adoption of the pet, nor are you obligated to adopt the pet.
We adopt to homes that are best fits for our animals' needs, and not on a first-come, first-served basis.
*ADOPTION FEE: Cats are $65 (cash only-sorry we can not make change) that includes spay/neuter, distemper vaccine combo test. Rabies vaccine if old enough. If you are adopting a kitten or cat please bring a carrier.
Hours for Adoptions:
Monday, Tuesday & Friday from 5:30 to 7:30pm.
Saturday: 10am to 2pm.
Please check our Facebook page for any special events or bonus adoption hour days.
