Kobi is a broken-hearted old soul who was abandoned by his owner at a city shelter after being a loyal companion for 13 years. We cannot even begin to comprehend giving up a faithful friend after a lifetime of devotion. He is confused, looking for his family, wondering why they aren't coming for him, and has such a broken spirit. We are hoping there is someone out there who will give him the time he needs to heal his sad little heart, and let him live out his golden years knowing he will never again be abandoned or rejected. Because he has been so distraught, Kobi needs someone who will be patient with him and let him do things in his own time. He does not want to be picked up or handled much. Sudden movements scare him. We aren't sure if he had been abused or if this is all related to him being distraught & confused. He will need to be in an adult-only home with small breed experience, where he has lots of quiet time for long naps. He is perfectly housetrained. He does okay with other pets but a lot of pets or large rowdy dogs would overwhelm him. A home that is calm & quiet without a lot of activity would be best for our boy, Kobi. He prefers mostly to stay to himself and sleep the day away but does enjoy some outside time & car rides. If you have a big heart and want to open it up to a sad old guy who just needs a retirement home to live out his years, please apply to adopt our Kobi.
Kobi is a 13 yr old Pekingese. He is neutered & current on vaccinations. Adoption fee is $150. The FIRST step is to have you complete our online adoption application. All adoption appointments are scheduled AFTER your application has been approved.
