Scooby is 6 months old and a big boy, weighs about 70 pounds now and on the tall side
around 23 inches high
floor to shoulder
most likely will be in the 100 pound range
or more if a dog doubles their weight at 6 months old

Scooby knows sit and lay down and learning more
working on shake, comes when called most the time
great on the leash with a no pull harness
fully potty trained with good routine

he gets alongwith the fosters dogs they both are older
there's a male and female dog but he's too much for them
as he wants to keep playing and they don't

Scooby would do great as only dog as he likes to hog the spotlight
he's all the dog you will need
and playmates would be fine or even better playing with his family
that's what he likes best
he's a people dog

he loves being near his people most of the day unless he's playing
or roaming the yard
he never goes far to ensure his people are safe
so will make a great companion dog a sidekick
for young retired folks that have raised and owned large dogs

he is crate trained for when you must leave a few hours
not looking to be crated during the day or night no need too

so someone home with time to spend playing loving training
daily mental and physical stimulation

He's good in car back seat but of course at his young age will have to be reminded
as foster mom likes him next to her in front seat to help her drive
while he's in the back seat when he's out and about for the day with myself

Scooby is a vocal dog loves to greet vocally and give you a story
you gotta love a talking dog

he grew up with kids ages 2 to 10 for 4 months of his life
if kids prefer over 12 years, old enough to play and understand
being kind and respectful
but adult home referred

Scooby loves to explore nature
chew and fetch sticks and his big nayla bone
he loves to get the huge tree like sticks best
yep he's one of those funny dogs you see with a huge tree stick
he will carry around

Loves running in sand, laying in sand, digging in sand
and loves to run through tall grass enjoying life
loves to play fetch and started to bring the ball or stick back
Scooby was never in a pound
we know his history since a baby pup
looking for a big fenced yard, ranch style or small farm ideal
outskirts of town fine
quiet neighborhood ok too as that's where he lives right now at his foster home

as a companion and protector for your family and home
to be with you 24/7 or close to that

a stable home owner over the age of 30 years
someone home during the day that has time to spend with him
eager to teach him new things as he thrives on mental stimulation
as well as physical activities but is fairly easy when it comes to exercise
not a hyper on the go
but can easily keep up on long hikes
Scooby is very well cared for looking for someone that can take over where we leave off
with the best care, love, training and leadership
and good structure
he's not a dog for "push over" folks
he loves and respect leaders

A equally smart human
and someone with lots of love
that truly understands dogs
one that knows to guide and teach in a quiet respectful way

Scooby would make a great country dog to help you do work on a ranch or farm as well as protect his family

Though Scooby gets along with fosters dogs he still has a ways to go to learn how meet and greet strange dogs
He gets over excited and barks at them but has gotten much much better already
so if you are looking for a dog park dog you may not want Scooby
he may be able to be trained and socialized as he's just a pup but he won;t be that pup right now

Scooby is now neutered, had his 3 puppy vaccines (3 weeks apart), a Rabies shot, on flea and monthly HW prevention
dewormed for parasites
we got him UTD on everything
he's healthy and happy
gained weight growing beautifully
tallish 23 inches and a handsome hunk
always getting complements when walking him
his beautiful blond coat and black mask makes everyone look

adoption fee, references, fenced yard, pics of home, someone home during the day

About Manhatten Animal Rescue Sanctuary

About Our Rescue Group...

Communities are in economic crisis and innocent animals are facing the consequences with their lives. We try to provide some resources to alleviate the increasing abandonment and neglect rates. Our efforts are mitigated because of the over population of our domestic animals and the lack of education on the crisis of not spaying and neutering your animals.
