A volunteer writes: Romeo is a young dog whose beauty comes to life in the sun. Yes, black is beautiful, elegant and attractive and Romeo is no exception. I love his shiny and gentle copper eyes and his antenna ears that move right and left, up and down with the sounds and the wind. He is a tiny masterpiece and you would never guess just looking at him in his kennel how gorgeous he is. Romeo is leashed in no time. He is quite a good walker and does his business without marking. He is not a pigeon chaser and is an excellent sitter for treats or no treats. He seems fine meeting other dogs on the street, but I am still to see how he is doing in playgroups with his peers. Romeo''s owner told us that he lived at some point in harmony with a female Sharpei and frequented dog parks where he played nicely. Romeo absolutely loves food, searches for it, but does not guard his bowl. He does not really play ball but he is young and can learn. He enjoys petting, meeting new people and wags his tail a lot. Romeo was left with us as his family, counting many children, was going through hard times. He comes with excellent comments but one...Romeo does like to chew on household items left on the floor. Romeo is a cute young prince waiting at the Manhattan Care Center for your place. Come in soon and make him your forever best friend!
