Pinta's Story...
Approx. birthdate: March 2016. Meet Pinta! Pinta was rescued from the post office in Puerto Rico. She was lost and hungry and ran up to her rescuer for help. Pinta is a very sweet, quite cuddly dog who just wants to be loved like she deserves. She was found with her tail cropped, and she is missing a toe on her hind foot. One of her eyes has an over-productive lubricating gland so she has a bit of discharge. Pinta was also diagnosed, treated and cured of venereal cancer. So this little girl need a special person who will love her forever! She has already been through so much in her short life. Pinta is good with other dogs and cats, and she is good with children. She will give you a high five with her right paw. Pinta is partially house trained to newspapers or potty pads.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pinta, a Sterling Heights Chihuahua/Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Rat Terrier for sale in Sterling Heights, or seeking a Chihuahua/Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Sterling Heights.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sterling Heights already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sterling Heights breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Rat Terrier breeders who help with Chihuahua/Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sterling Heights paves the way for another one to be saved.
