Facts about LONE JACK

  • Breed: Quarterhorse
  • Color: Unknown
  • Age: Senior
  • Size: Unknown
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: 11159490-A607689
Lone Jack was rescued with numerous other horses from a neglectful situation. He was suffering from severe external parasites, dental issues from lack of teeth floating, and he was underweight from a lack of food.

Lone Jack has come a long way. He is an older gentleman and would love a family to take him home to give him the individual attention that he deserves. Lone Jack is on a special senior diet due to his advanced age and will require dental exams by a veterinarian every 6 months (rather than the typical annual exams and floats for other equine). In exchange for this bit of extra care Lone Jack has a LOT of love to give.

Due to LJ''s dental conditions he can no longer chew hay. He will need to be seperated from any horses that do eat hay. He is doing very well on his diet of equine senior and alfalfa chops.

Lone Jack has been evaluated for riding and he has previous training. He listens well and worked through his three gaits in the indoor arena. We will continue working with him to improve his fitness but we think he will come around quickly.
