Puma is a sweet cat that was recently separated from her sister Peaches. Puma & Peaches were adopted from us in Jan 2016 & returned to us a year later after the owners could no longer keep them. Change is very stressful for cats and Puma has had a lot of it. She would love to find another home, this time a forever home. She is only 1 1/2 years old, still young and playful.

About Save A Pet Florida

About Our Rescue Group...

Save A Pet was founded by Gertrude Maxwell on Aug 28, 1972. In the past 40 years, we have saved the lives of over 80,000 animals. Our cats & dogs are placed in foster homes for socialization with people & other animals. Once vetted & confirmed as disease-free, they are allowed to roam their foster home and interact with the other pets in the home.
The majority of our dogs are rescued from high kill facilities and many of the dogs are injured or sick when we take them into our care. Most of them were found as strays. Some require extensive medical care & several months of healing. Our job is to provide them a safe environment where they can heal, receive love & learn to trust humans again.

Our foster/adoption program is just one of our purposes. We also provide TNR (trap/neuter/return) service for feral cats in the Jupiter, Tequesta, Palm Beach Gardens, FL areas. We provide food to caregivers of the feral cat colonies we have sterilized. We provide funds for emergency veterinary care and for sterilization of domestic pets for financially challenged individuals (must complete an application & phone interview to qualify).

Volunteers are needed in the following areas: Social media & marketing, fundraising, fostering cats or dogs, weekend adoptions at Jupiter Petco, TNR.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We hold adoptions every Sat & Sun from 11-4 at Jupiter Petco, 901 W Indiantown Rd (in plaza on NW corner of Indiantown Rd & Pennock Lane).
