Meet Brian! This active 10-month-old came to Mahoning County Dog Pound as a stray and was then transferred to rescue. He has a beautiful black coat with a unique brindle pattern on his legs, chin, and eyebrows! Brian is house-trained, does well on his leash, and knows "sit." He is the definition of a velcro dog and is either following his foster mom around the house or snuggling in her lap. Brian is a very energetic boy and would benefit from an active family that enjoys hiking or jogging. He would love a big yard or a doggy foster sibling! Brian loves everyone he meets and does well with children. He needs some help with his manners and does jump when excited, so he may do best with older children.

To adopt Brian, we require that you are at least 21-years-old, own your home, have a veterinary reference, and have any current pets spayed/neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations and heartworm prevention. Brian's adoption fee is $250 and covers the cost of his vetting, which includes his neuter surgery, microchip, heartworm test, Rabies vaccination, Bordatella vaccination, DHLPP vaccination, fecal test, nail trim, Drontal dewormer, and Revolution for flea/tick/heartworm prevention.

Please email lovebugsrescue@gmail.com for an application to adopt this special boy!

About Little Love Bugs Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Little Love Bugs Rescue was founded by a group of friends with a commitment to saving the lives of animals within Northeastern Ohio. Little Love Bugs Rescue is a private, non-profit, animal rescue. We are currently in the process of filing for our 501c3 tax-exempt status. Little Love Bugs Rescue is run out of the homes of volunteers. We do not have a shelter. All of our rescued animals are in foster homes being loved, nurtured, and evaluated by volunteers. If you would like to visit any of our adoptable dogs or cats, please email us and we can set up a time to meet after your adoption application has been approved.

Our Adoption Process...

If you are interested in adopting one of our rescued pets, please email us at lovebugsrescue@aol.com. All potential adopters must fill out an adoption application. Once your application is completed, please be patient. The application is processed by one of our volunteers who will email you back within a day to confirm that we received your application. The volunteer will then check with your veterinarian to make sure that all of your pets are/were up-to-date on their vaccines, spayed/neutered, and on heartworm prevention. The volunteer will call you to talk with you more about the pet that you are interested in adopting, and to make sure that you are a good fit. After everything checks out, we can set up a meet and greet with the dog or cat you are interested in adopting. Please only apply to adopt one of our rescued pets if you are willing and able to make a lifetime commitment to a pet. We give the highest quality of care to all of our fosters, and we have adoption requirements in place to make sure that all of our dogs and cats go to loving homes. We work very closely to match you with the right new family member. All dogs and cats are spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adoption fees are non-refundable. We require that you are at least 21-years-old and that you live in Ohio, Pennsylvania, or Michigan to adopt one of our rescued pets. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
