Meet Bon Jovi . This friendly boy was picked up as a stray in a rural Ohio area. He obviously had been out on his own for a while as his coat had thick mats, was dirty and stinky. He is also on the skinny side. A local groomer donated her time to make Bon Jovi look and feel so much better! While we don’t know how long Bon Jovi has been on his own or the circumstances that led to him ending up in the dog pound, it is obvious he was someone’s pet at some point. Bon Jovi is very friendly, well-mannered in the home—albeit a little energetic, crate trained, house trained, takes corrections very well, and knows several commands including shake and high 5. He does climb and jump, and was observed climbing concrete blocks to determine if he could somehow make it over the 6 foot privacy fence. Although amusing, it was a big clue as to how Bon Jovi likely ended up as a stray. Below are photos are from intake, showing his coat severely matted. Bon Jovi will require professional grooming about every 6 to 8 weeks at an average cost of about $50 per grooming. Bon Jovi is on his 10-day hold, but will be available for meet-n-greets on 03/18/2017. If you have questions about Bon Jovi, please email his foster mom at firstname.lastname@example.org
Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for $19.99 fee to change information. Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
