Here's what the humans have to say about me:
MATTIE is a beautiful 2-year old Bully female who is in need of a forever home where she can continue to get the attention and love she deserves. Mattie was found laying in a bed of corn stalks in rural NW TN. The person who found her had to carry her because she was too weak to walk. She had lots of scars and a cut on her leg which may have been from being beaten. She was bruised and sore which the vet feels may have come from being bumped by a car. At 46 pounds when rescued, she was very thin indicating she was either being starved intentionally or she was a stray for a while. On the bright side, she tested heartworm negative. She has been on monthly heartworm prevention ever since. She was vetted, vaccinated, spayed and microchipped. She is doing well in her foster home where she gets along with her foster's dogs. She is not good with cats so a cat-free home is needed. She is sweet, loving and cuddly with the entire family. She loves being spoiled and petted. With good care, regular meals and lots of TLC, she has regained her weight and good health. All she needs now is a new home, preferably one with an active family who can provide the exercise and activity Mattie likes. She is a young dog with a lot of young dog energy. If you live in another state, don't let that stand in your way. We will work to transport Mattie if it means she will have a good forever home. If you are another rescue group, we will waive the adoption fee but you can make a donation toward vetting at your discretion. The adoption fee will help our 501(c)3 non-profit, all-volunteer rescue to cover at least part of the cost of the veterinary care this dog has received.
