Doolittle is a 10-year-old, 22 lb, male Terrier mix. When Doolittle came into Puppy Pals Rescue, he had thinning hair, skin issues, and potty issues. His foster parents, both medical professionals, discovered he has Diabetes Insipidus. (It is not like Sugar Diabetes that everyone hears about.) This means that he will have to take medicine for the rest of his life to help him regulate the water in his body. After a lot of love and time, his Insipidus, potty issues, and skin issues are under control. His foster parents feel that he is ready to find his furever home!!

Doolittle has a very sweet personality and loves to cuddle up with you. He loves to play fetch and really enjoys being outside when the weather is warm. He does have a little separation anxiety when he is let outside and you are not outside with him. He is crate trained. He is a "rooter" and will try to get under the blanket to relax. His foster home has other dogs, a cat, and numerous children ranging from age 5 to 21 years old. Doolittle has not been aggressive towards any of them. Doolittle has been working on basic commands and walking on a leash. He will make a great addition to any family.

Please, if you are interested in Doolittle, make sure that you understand that it is a daily, life-saving medicine commitment for him with an average cost of $100 per month. You can send all inquiries regarding this to the foster home listed below.

Adoption Donation Fee = $250

If you have any questions please contact Doolittle's foster mom at the link found at http://puppypalsrescue.com/Dogs_Doolittle1684.html. Fill out an application if you are interested in adopting him - you can find those at http://puppypalsrescue.com/Applications.html. (Email his foster home and let them know you applied so they can be sure the application is received!)

Doolittle just can't wait to find a forever home! Thanks!!!

About PUPPY PALS RESCUE

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small group of friends who all volunteer their personal time and work hard using special talents to make an impact on the life of a dog in need (one at a time). We are experienced in small, long-haired breeds with special focus on the Yorkshire Terrier.

Our volunteers foster out of their homes. We raise funds with members who handcraft doggie items and homebaked doggie treats to sell at area craft fairs and festivals.

We can always use help and support! FOSTER HOMES ARE ALWAYS NEEDED in the Greater Dayton area.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our fosters are in our volunteer's homes and an appointment would be needed to meet the dog.

We do pet events - check the Events calendar on our website at www.puppypalsrescue.com for more information.

You can also visit our website to complete an application to adopt or email us with questions.

Our Adoption Process...

To adopt - An application will need to be completed which will include 3 personal references; and, a vet reference (if you have one).

A telephone interview by the foster home and a home visit will be scheduled. Once these are completed the foster home has the final say on the adoptive family.

We match the dog's personality with the family. Every animal is different; some are child friendly - others might not be. Some require fenced-in yards .. others might not. We discourage the use of invisible fences for small breed dogs.

Our fees are based on the age and medical needs of the dog and range from $100 - $400.
