April's Info...

April's Story...
"April" is a beautiful one-year old female Chocolate Labrador Retriever/Hound mix who arrived at the HSOV on March 11, 2017 after she was found in Waterford Ohio. She was wearing a collar when she entered our shelter but, unfortunately, there was neither a dog tag nor an id tag to enable us to locate her owner.

"April" has a chocolate brown short smooth coat with a small white blaze on her chest, a long tail, and a darling face with a liver-colored nose and large floppy ears. This young lady has a very sweet, easygoing personality and appears to love everyone. She weighs 50 lbs and walks well on a leash.

She will be available for adoption on March 14, 2017 in the unlikely event that she is not reclaimed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

April, a Marietta Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
