My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Beya came to our care a couple of months ago. Despite her former owner’s best efforts, Beya was unable to adjust to life with a new baby in the house. It soon became apparent, however, that she also had a medical condition that needed attention. Trace amounts of blood in her urine led to a battery of diagnostic tests followed by surgical intervention to remove three stones in her bladder. Beya now has a clean bill of health and is ready for her new forever home. This very pretty and unique auburn-coloured girl is a Poodle mix, and accompanied her original owner to Canada from France in 2011. Don’t tell her that she has already celebrated her 10th birthday, for she doesn’t look it and is as spry as a dog half her age. At about 17 pounds, Beya is a nice size and would make a wonderful companion for young retirees. She is good with the respectful visiting grandchildren at the foster home and is comfortable around other dogs her size, but would also be happy as an only dog. Beya really enjoys the companionship of her people, so someone home a lot would suit her best. Please complete an adoption questionnaire on our website if you think you can offer Beya the right home.
