  • Age: Young
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female

Macy was relinquished by her owners due to having too many animals and not enough time to care for them. Macy lived with her owners for about 3 ½ years. Her owners describe her as good with children; she lived with kids aged 7 to 16. She is also good with other dogs. She lived with two other large dogs and got along well with both. She is house-trained and crate-trained. She has not shown any resource guarding behaviors and likes to chase cats. She is deaf, but is otherwise very healthy. Since entering care, Macy has been very easy for staff members to handle, and to take in and out of her kennel. There have been no further problems leashing Macy and her caregivers describe her as affectionate and easy going. She will solicit attention and allow petting all over.

About Ace of Hearts Dog Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing dogs from various Los Angeles shelters the day they are to be euthanized. Our goal is to help provide animals with a second chance to a happy life and to help reduce pet overpopulation through spay and neuter programs. Once rescued, we place our dogs into loving foster homes while they await adoption. We do not keep dogs in kennels. Placing the dogs in foster homes is the first step to rehabilitation, as it allows us to thoroughly evaluate a dog's demeanor and needs enabling us to make the perfect match of dog and permanent owner. We attribute our high rate of successful placement to our foster program. At Ace of Hearts, we do not discriminate against any breed, including those in the bully breed family. Additionally, Ace of Hearts is dedicated to educating the public on how to be responsible pet owners and on the importance of spaying and neutering. We believe the real solution to pet overpopulation is through spaying and neutering pets.
