**Jack is currently being fostered in Houston. His adoption will be out-of-state and unfortunately, meeting him prior to adoption will not be possible. His adoption fee is $500USD, which includes his flight home, a new kennel, and of course he is fully vetted and healthy. Because flight costs are so high, the adoption fee is non-negotiable.**

Jack is the coolest little dude a family could hope for. We found him, like so many of our dogs, just out on the streets by himself. Once we saw him and made a plan for him, he disappeared on us! But as luck would have it, we were able to find him again and get him picked up and off to start his new life in rescue.

Jack is a small guy, around the 14-pound mark. The vet estimates him to be around two years old and as a terrier/dachshund mix of some sort. We aren’t 100% sure what breed he is, but he is adorable!

Jack would make the ideal pet for any family or living situation. He is the perfect size and energy level for an apartment or condo setting, as long as his family commits to getting him proper exercise and socialization. Jack’s energy level would make him a great addition to a family with children who have been taught to be respectful of animals.

Jack is great with other animals and currently lives with a foster family that has both other dogs (big and small!). He would be great as an addition to a family with other pets or as a bachelor dog.

While he’s done great in his foster home, he should be adopted by a family who understands that he will take time and patience as he acclimates into his new life. He may have accidents, chew on things he is not supposed to, and bark in his kennel. It can take dogs a few weeks to properly acclimate to their new lives, so he is seeking a family that can give him this time and work with him on becoming an even more awesome dog than he already is.

Jack should be adopted by a family who plans to keep him indoors as part of a family - we do not adopt dogs into situations in which they will be left outside for extended periods of time unattended (for example, the entire work day).

Jack is fully vetted (neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped), is heartworm negative, and has no known health issues or allergies.

The first step in our adoption process is to complete an adoption application, which can be located under the adoptables tab on our website www.reggiesfriends.org

Our Adoption Process...

All Reggie's Friends dogs are located in Houston TX and all of our adoptions are out-of-state. This means that the dogs cannot be met prior to adoption. While unconventional, it is the best way we have figured out how to save dogs suffering in Houston. We have finalized over 300 out-of-state adoptions in the past two years.

The first step in our adoption process is to complete an application on our website www.reggiesfriends.org - hovering over the Adoptables tab will bring up the application link. Following the application, we will conduct a reference and vet check and then set a time for a video chat via Facetime or Skype in order for potential adopters to "meet" the dog and us. We have found great success in conducting our adoptions in this manner and look forward to much success in the future!
