Marci is a stunning white and fawn bulldog girl. She is an amazing girl who has had so much in her short life. She deserves a great home and a family. She has never had one before. She is great with people and does great with other dogs as long as they are not dominate and fighters. She has had a horrific life so far and we promised her that things would get better. She is a big girl and built like a tank. She just needs a great home and a family that loves her. She has natural ears and tail, and a personality that is true to the breed. We adore this sweet girl and know that she is an amazing girl who just wants love. We know that she deserves it.

We recently assisted with a puppy mill raid. There was a situation where over 100 dogs were living in deplorable conditions. The dogs were living in their own filth, tiny cages, small runs with up to 10 dogs to a run. The dogs were well fed but often abused, neglected, left out in the cold, or heat. The kennels had no heat, no water, no plumbing so they were living in their own waste. They were being neglected and the workers were doing everything they could but the resources were not there to help the number of dogs that were there. We are so glad we were able to help out and save some of the dogs that were in need. These are amazing dogs. They are all pure bred dogs, with champion bloodlines that the breeder was selling for over 1600 a dog! These dogs needed a soft place to land to learn how to be amazing dogs. We are so glad we were able to help, and for the people who worked to save these dogs. It was during one of the coldest and wettest weeks we had, the conditions were horrific, and everyone pulled together to help out. These dogs are becoming amazing dogs and we know that there are some very lucky homes that are getting amazing dogs.

Maci is still learning how to be a normal pet. She has been caged her whole life. She has come a long way and is doing great. She has done great with kids and adults. She can be over excited and knock little ones over. She does good with dogs who are medium and bigger and are not dominate. She doesn’t like females who want to fight. She prefers to know she has some say in her home. She loves owners who give her something to do, a job or a purpose. She loves toys and loves to play. She has likely never had toys before. She has been exposed to cats in her foster, but is interested in them and will need a home that can work with her and them. She is a great girl and we love her. She adores people and wants a family of her own. She needs a home that can work with her and her dog skills as she has been bullied by many dogs in the past and can be nervous with new dogs.

Maci is a great dog. She is up to date, dewormed, flea treated and altered. She is working on house breaking and doing great. She is crate trained, does ok on leash and is learning basic commands. First of we had to work on just accepting attention as she has not had much. She is a great girl and we know she will be an amazing pet in time. She is going to be a dog that will give you her all. She loves to know she is making you happy. She does amazing in the car, and loves to go for car rides. She loves to have fun and is always the life of the party. She just wants to have a good time and a family that loves her. No dog deserves to live a life in a cage.

We spend a lot of time trying to get to know the dogs in our program as best as we can. This means that we have spent time introducing them to dogs, cats, kids, animals, people and as many things as we can. We try to do as much as we can to evaluate them, both with in our group and if the dogs come from other rescues or shelters their evaluations as well. However dogs are individuals and will react to different situations differently. This means that we do not know how a dog will react in every situation. We give out our best guess based off information provided but the handler of a dog and the way they are introduced to a situation makes a huge impact. So if you have any questions of how to introduce a dog to your home, please let us know and we will provide as much info as we can from pamphlets to helping find a trainer in your area.

Our rescue aims to help dogs who are passed by and over looked by most rescues and people. We help the dogs who are in need of medical care, vetting, training and breeds that most will not help with. In most shelters if you are large dog, a big dog, or a male dog; from the moment you walk in you are on barrowed time. If you have docked ears or are a guardian breed your time was over before you walked in the doors. We aim to save these dogs and give them a second chance. Please help us save more lives by helping with our medical bills as they grow. This year has already been hard and we have many medical dogs in need.

If you would like to adopt this pet please send us an email. Applications will be sent to you via email. We do our best to get back to emails in 24 hrs. About Rising Phoenix Mastiff Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a no kill non profit mastiff rescue. We work with all breeds of mastiffs including rare breeds and power breeds of mastiffs. Such as Presa, Fila, Corso, Tosa, Dogo, Ect. We are founded by a small group of dedicated people who have a passion for large breed dogs. We often take in animals who are not mastiffs if there is a need. We work with both purebred dogs and mix breeds. We also work with dogs who need further training since many dogs that come in are simply in need of medical care and training. We also work on educating the public to these breeds and helping owners train and help with the dogs they have so that not all are put into rescue. Sometimes the best home is the one they are already in. We spend alot of time on education. We were founded because there was a lack of help for many of the misunderstood mastiff breeds. Many were dieing in shelters and refused by rescues becuase they did not understand the breed. We felt the need so we offered to help.

Come Meet Our Pets...

All our adoptions are set up by appointment only. Our dogs are kept in foster homes. Not in a rescue center. This is so we can get to know everyone better. Because of this we can only do adoptions by appointment.

Our Adoption Process...

We require all adopters to fill out an adoption application for the pet they are inquiring about. This gives us basic info if the dog they are interested in even fits their lifestyle. If that is passed we do a home check, and background check as best as we can in the area. We also contact their vets for any info on their current or past animals. If things go well from there we do require them to come meet and greet the animal they are adopting. In some cases its easier for us to bring the animal to them, and that can be done as well to see how everyone gets along. If that goes well we have an adoption contract that must be signed. We require different things for every animal depending on their exact needs. Some cant be around kids, cats, other dogs ect. Some can. But everyone is required to have a fenced yard, Own their home or they must have proof from their landlord that states that the animal is allowed there. Our adoption fees are based on the animal. They help cover the vaccine, alter, vet check, training, and care of the animal. Also they sometimes help on further medical care if more is needed.
