Have you ever heard the expression: “Living the life of Riley?” I had, and like most old quotes, this one had many possible origins, but it basically means, living the good-life. Our girl uses an alternate spelling: Ryley. Ryley is a 35lb 4 year-old female Boxer/Terrier mix. She is spayed, vaccinated and micro-chipped. Ryley is getting a taste of the good-life in her wonderful foster-home. Ryley is showing less anxiety when meeting new visitors, as well—she just avoids them and stays close by her trusted people. Ryley goes into her crate without incident or complaint, and is very quiet while there. She walks well on leash and responds very well to instruction. “In a nut-shell . . . I find her a true delight and VERY easy and enjoyable to have around.” Ryley is housetrained and crate-trained. She knows: Sit, Stay, Down and Come. She is affectionate, eager to please, well-behaved, playful and skittish. Her favorite toy is a tennis-ball; she loves to play fetch. She is also interested in chasing squirrels . . . kind of like the dog in the movie, Up! Ryley has lived with children before and has been fine with them. Ryley is crated at night and when her people are out. She is a very quiet girl. She is initially fearful of new people. When allowed to adjust on her own timetable, trust and affection grow. Ryley is a very sweet and affectionate girl and a wonderful companion. She is a very easy dog to have around: quiet, undemanding and eager to please. Ryley’s ideal home would include a calm environment, patient people, a canine-companion, NO CATS, and a fenced-yard. Won’t you please help Ryley to be “living the life of Riley, . . .” the good-life by giving her a fur-ever home?
