Darlene's Story...
This little sweetie is just waiting for a lap of her own. Darlene is about 1.5 years old and a brindle dachshund mix weighing in around 13 pounds. She's sweet and very affectionate and loves to be held and snuggled with. She had a litter who've all been adopted out and now it's her turn to find a home of her own. She's good with other dogs but prefers the company of her people so she would also be well as an only dog or companion to a cat. Her adoption fee is $350. She's fixed, fully vaccinated, HW tested negative and microchipped. If you are interested in meeting Darlene please fill out the adoption form by clicking the link below, she's currently fostered in Olympia, WA

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Darlene, a Olympia Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Olympia, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Olympia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Olympia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Olympia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Olympia paves the way for another one to be saved.
