Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Fred and his "brother" were left behind when the family was evicted from their residence, the two of them lived alone in the home for an unknown period of time, when they were discovered they were very under weight. Both of these guys have regained some weight - but they are still very interested in seeing what's in the trash can they might grab for a snack.
Fred is very friendly with the other foster kitties and was recently adopted by a family with a two year-old (and a dog) who has learned how to open the door & had thus let Fred out twice, since he was declawed when he came to FEF the owners didn't want to take any chances with him getting out & not being able to defend himself. This family loved Fred & cried when bringing him back to us, but they felt returning him to FEF was best for Fred's safety.
Fred says "We were very scared & hungry when our humans left us in the house all alone, but FurEverFriends have taken us in & they tell us every day that someone will come to love us. Could you be my someone? I just want a warm lap to sit in again. Is your lap available for me & maybe my brother too?"
