Tiny, Adorable, Spirited Piper is a very petite kitty, closer to a kitten in size than the super sweet, senior lady that she is! She is very friendly and will greet people at the door and follow them around like a puppy. This calm, happy nugget still has a playful side and enjoys 'hunting' her food. She is extremely affectionate and loves when you pet her soft coat. She hasn't made the leap to lap-cat just yet. But, she definitely has the makings of one and could end up becoming a lap loving lady once she's comfortable in a home. Piper gets along with other cats, ignoring them for the most part. We haven't seen her around dogs. But, she'd probably be fine with cat-friendly dogs who would be gentle with such a delicate kitty, if given a proper introduction. Respectful, careful children that are around seven years old and up would be fine. Piper is FeLV+ (Feline Leukemia Virus), which causes a weakened immune system and requires special care. APA! provides some medical assistance after adoption. Cats with FeLV typically have a shortened lifespan. Piper is not contagious to people or dogs, but should live only with other FeLV+ cats. For more information, please contact APA! or read more by our Partner, Best Friends Animal Society: http://bestfriends.org/Resources/FAQs-About-Feline-Leukemia-Virus-FeLV Ideally, Piper would spend her golden years in a home with loving people who will give her lots of affection, a soft bed and an array of comfy spots for sunbeamed naps. Her forever family would need to feed her frequently and make sure this diminutive sweetheart eats up. Are you ready to pamper precious Piper and let her know she's special and loved? She's certain to do the same for you! Come by and meet her today! All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team. For further information or to meet Harley, please email email@example.com.
