Penny's Story...
Penny’s story began in South Central LA in 2008 when she was found as a stray puppy on the streets. She was adopted by an elderly man who recently died, leaving Penny behind with no family or friends to take her in. Her human was her constant companion so she would be happiest in a home where she will not be left alone for long periods. Ideally she will go to someone who works from home or can take her to work (she is very well behaved and would make a great office pup), is retired or has another dog for companionship. Don’t let her age fool you. Penny has never been sick a day in her life, she loves to go on long walks, is playful and has teeth like those of a young dog. She is incredibly sweet and loving, friendly towards new people and dogs, obedient and gentle, and a very happy girl. She has a lot of love to share and is going to make some lucky person very happy. THIS IS A GUEST COURTESY POST.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Penny, a Los Angeles Australian Shepherd/Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Collie for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Collie dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Collie breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
