Meatball's Story...
This active little man is Meatball and he is hoping to find his loving forever home. We are collecting applications for review for this guy and then selecting someone to come in and meet with him. Meatball is an active and rambunctious player who can make some pretty scary sounds when he gets over-excited. As long as you are patient with him and let him come to you, he will let you pet him but he is more interested in playing. He is especially fond of rope toys or anything else he can tug on. He can be rough when he plays so he needs a really experienced home that can read his signals and cope with his exuberance. Meatball needs to be signed up for positive, reward-based training classes before going to his new home so he can learn some manners, bond with his new people, and socialize with dogs and people. Interacting with other dogs will teach him to play more appropriately. As such, he will do best going to a home with another active dog that he can wrestle and play with. Meatball has demonstrated a prey drive here and should go to a home without cats or small animals. He also needs a home with teenagers or adults only. If you are interested in adopting Meatball, please come to the front to submit an application for review.

Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) puppy from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
