My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

EDEN! Available for Adoption through Fur the Love of PAWS Rescue!

HERE'S THE SCOOP!
Sweet Eden makes rescue easy. This lovable and ADORABLE girl has been a real delight to have around. Eden was originally a "stray" at the North Platte Animal Shelter. She actually lived in Ogallala, but her family moved and just left her behind! A Good Samaritan was feeding her but knew that she deserved better than that, so she took her to the animal shelter. I thought for sure Eden would be scooped up in no time as she was a DOLL and so outgoing, but the curse of the #BlackPetSyndrome is real, and it cast its spell on our poor Eden.
What is Black Pet Syndrome? Well, it's the phenomenon of black dogs and cats being passed over in shelters in favor of lighter colored pets, or more 'unique' looking pets. Black pets don't stand out and there are SO MANY of them, that adopters are often found to look right past a pet that may be perfect for them, and instead choose a pet that may not be - simply because of the way they look. Sadly, it is a real thing and it happens all the time. Eden waited over three weeks for a home to come, and no one did. We watch black colored pets sit in our local shelter all the time.. just waiting. And waiting. We decided not to let her wait any more. We did not want this charming and spunky girl to get depressed so we decided to pull her into rescue with us and help her be seen in a different way - not as a black cat in a shelter, but as a hilarious, sleek little girl with loads of personality who is ready to bring a new family lots of laughs and love.

FAMILY GOALS!
Eden is looking for a forever family. If you would consider rehoming a pet due to moving, allergies or family conflict, she asks that you do not adopt her - she'd like her next home to be her last.

Eden is quite simply the best. She is just great. Eden loves to play and loves her kick stick. She uses her rope scratcher and loves toys. She loves everyone she meets. She is a Super Goof and likes to crawl on our shoulders and even expresses her love of all of us by grooming us on occasion. Eden is an active girl so needs an active family to match. She'd do well in a home with kids, cats, dogs or all of the above. Eden is litter trained and just an all around wonderful cat.
Eden is affectionate and loving and is overflowing with character and personality. You will be laughing non stop with this litter girl in your life!!! Eden has some Siamese in her, which is where her crossed eyes comes from. They do not slow her down a bit. It is said that one of the eyes becomes dominant for sight, so while she may see a little differently than others - she is perfectly normal in her own awesome Eden way! <3 Eden cannot wait to find a forever home - she is ready and waiting to hear from you!

HOW DO I MAKE EDEN A PERMANENT FAMILY MEMBER?
-Message the page for our adoption application. This will help us determine if your home is the home of Eden's dreams! A purrfect fit is important to us. Upon that determination, we will have you stop in to meet Eden at the FURcility!
-We allow for a 2 week trial run to make sure a proper placement for all involved.
-An adoption agreement is then completed.
-Eden's adoption fee is $100.
-We have a No Declaw Policy. Please keep this in mind when considering adopting. Our rescues cannot be declawed.

Like all our rescues, Eden is very important to us. We are excited to help her find her Purrfect Family. If you can't adopt, please share. Thanks!
