Meet Lillith a Labrador and Plott Hound mix pup.  Lillith is a very sweet and happy girl in spite of being dumped on the street and left.  She is laid back for a young pup but she loves to play and be active.  Lillith can be a little shy initially but she loves attention and she loves people and she comes around quickly.  She will be a wonderful addition to a family.  Please give this darling girl the new home she so deserves.  Ask us about Lillith!  Request more information about Lillith at info@dogsxlrescue.org

Lillith needs a foster or a loving forever home to lavish love and attention on her. Won't you open your heart and home to this precious pup?

Like most puppies, Lillith will need to work on housetraining. Lillith will also need to go to obedience school to grow into a well-socialized dog! As these puppies are very young, they will need proper vetting within 3 days after adoption to start up a relationship with your vet, and to check on any concerns.

The adoption fee for puppies less than 6 months old is $350, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including age appropriate vaccinations and spay/neuter. Puppies under 4 months of age may go to adoptive homes before they are spayed/neutered. Adopters who choose to adopt a puppy that has not yet been spayed/neutered are subject to an additional deposit of $100 (refundable upon proof of spay/neuter.) Included in the adoption fee, the rescue will arrange spay/neuter by a partner vet at the adopter's convenience when the puppy is between 4-6 months of age. It is the responsibility of the adopter to bring the adopted puppy back to the rescue vet for spaying/neutering or to send verification from another vet that the puppy had been spayed/neutered.

About Dogs XL Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Dogs XL is a new “breed” of dog rescue, committed to the philosophy that there is no such thing as a perfect dog or a perfect home. The right dog is out there for everyone who is willing to open heart and home to a canine companion. Dogs XL operates like a social networking service for dogs, designed to match people and pets based on the principles of compatibility and compassion.

As the name implies, Dogs XL specializes in finding homes for large dogs (typically 75lbs+). Large dogs are often first to be put to sleep in shelters because medical treatment and food for large dogs is more expensive than for small dog. Large dogs also take up more space at the shelter and on transports to adoptive families. Although owning a large dog is not for everyone, large dogs have many unique and endearing qualities. Here at Dogs XL, we believe the larger the dog, the more there is to love.

Occasionally, Dogs XL will intervene on behalf of a smaller dog with an XL personality. Dogs XL also works with other local rescue groups to facilitate adoptions to families that might be a better match for a smaller dog.

Dogs XL is an all volunteer, non-profit animal rescue group.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Dogs XL has adoption events on weekends at local pet supply stores in the greater Baltimore area. Schedule of Events is posted on the www.dogsxlrescue.org

Our Adoption Process...

To begin the process, adopters fill out an adoption questionnaire are contacted by an adoption coordinator within 72 hours for an interview. After the initial interview, if the adopter has current or recent pets we call the veterinarian to confirm that they are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered. When possible, a volunteer will schedule a home visit to help advise adopters on how to "puppy proof" the home. Alternatively, the foster family of the dog to be adopted may come to the home to help introduce the dog to its new environment and conduct the home visit simultaneously.

Adoption Fees
Puppies 6 months and under: $350

Adult dogs 7 months to 8 years: $300

Senior Dogs 9+ years: $250

*Adoption fees help cover the cost of transportation to the Baltimore/DC area, boarding, and vetting, including vaccinations, heartworm/Lyme disease testing, flea/tick/heartworm preventative and spay/neuter surgery.
