Asher's Story...
Asher is currently living in a foster home in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin.

Asher was turned into the shelter a terrible mess and only 3 months old. He is now about 4 months old. He is learning daily and loves any attention; as all puppies do!! He is a typical in that he is chunky and happy. He is smart and looking for direction; he enjoys climbing in your lap for cuddles and I will bet he will try to do the same as an older much BIGGER puppy! He is sweet and super easy to fall in love with.

Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once
approved a meet and greet with the dog. Please note that preference is given to adopters in
Wisconsin, but out of state adoptions will be considered. Adoption fee is $250.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Asher, a Fort Atkinson Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Fort Atkinson, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Fort Atkinson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fort Atkinson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fort Atkinson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fort Atkinson paves the way for another one to be saved.
