About Jon Snow
Jon Snow is sweet and handsome and has the softest fur you could ever hope to touch. He was afraid of any sort of attention when he was dropped off on AARF's porch at 3 months old with his mother and two siblings. Through much love and affection from his foster parents and other visitors, he has learned that people can be trusted. He is still very shy when he first meets someone and is not comfortable with crowds. When approached slowly and kindly though, he welcomes pets and rubs. Jon Snow is hoping to find a quiet and loving forever home. He is highly compatible with other cats, and would be just as happy in a multi-cat household as he would be as an only pet.

Jon Snow was born in February 2015. He is de-wormed, current on vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLV, neutered, and ready to go to a forever home.

About Animal Adoption and Rescue Foundation, Inc. (AARF)

About Our Rescue Group...

Mission Statement: AARF aids homeless and helpless cats and dogs in the greater Winston-Salem area: providing rescue and adoption services, while encouraging the human/animal bond.

Strategic Focus Area: Neglected, homeless and abused companion animals, and the pets whose owners have either gone to nursing homes or are deceased.

History: Animal Adoption and Rescue Foundation, Inc. (AARF) was incorporated in 1995 as a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization to assist animals and people in the community through adoption services and rescue operations. AARF is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and is supported by 136 regular volunteers who work tirelessly, and other 'as needed' volunteers who participate in special events/fundraisers to implement the AARF mission. We also have 10 volunteer veterinarians who work with us to support our goals.

Other Accomplishments: AARF works with local veterinarians to hold several Rabies Clinics per year. Public education on animal care and pet owner responsibility is a priority. We also rescue suitable animals from euthanasia.
