Meet Baxter Saturday July 1st at the San Francisco Chihuahua Meetup at Stern Grove from noon to 2PM.

Meet little Baxter. He is a Chihuahua, Shiba Inu, Shih Tzu mix (according to his DNA test) and the perfect size to hop up on your lap for an ear scratch and pets. Baxter weighs just under 18 pounds and is a young adult in the 2 to 5 year range. He is house trained as long as his owners stick to a pretty good schedule. A home with adults and/or older children would be best for Baxter. He is a nice, quiet dog who could even go to work with someone who's employers allow that. Please apply if you would like to meet this adorable little fellow!

Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial veterinary and other expenses in rescuing our dogs. In order to recoup some of these costs, we request a tax-deductible donation for each adoption. The suggested donation for Baxter is $250.

If you are interested in adopting Baxter, please complete our online adoption application at http://www.gratefuldogsrescue.org/adoption-process.html. One of our volunteers will get back to you. Adoptions are local, confined to the SF Bay Area.

About Grateful Dogs Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Grateful Dogs Rescue was founded in 1990; its mission is to rescue dogs not made available for adoption at San Francisco Animal Care and Control and other local shelters through no fault of their own. Rather than letting these dogs be euthanized, Grateful Dogs saves as many as possible by fostering these dogs until a loving home is found.

Grateful Dogs Rescue is always in need of new foster homes!  You can make a difference by fostering. The number of dogs we can save is dependent on having foster parents to care for them until they find their forever homes.

To learn more about Grateful Dogs Rescue, please visit our website at gratefuldogsrescue.org.

Grateful Dogs Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization dedicated to rescuing, fostering and rehoming dogs in the San Francisco Bay Area. Grateful Dogs Rescue is a registered 501-(c) (3) non-profit organization (TIN 94-3251570). All donations are tax deductible and greatly appreciated. Come Meet Our Pets...

Our Adoption Process...

The Grateful Dogs Rescue adoption procedure is designed to find a good match between the dog and adopter. Our goal is a happy human and happy dog in a "forever home." The adoption procedure includes an application, interview, home inspection, and an adoption fee. The adoption fee helps to cover spay/neuter, shots and other medical care given before the dog is made available for adoption.
