Susie is a very gentle Beagle mix girl that gets along very well with other dogs and people. She absolutely loves children and loves to give them kisses and hang out with them. This girl is around 2-3 years old and weighs about 35 pounds. She is a very tender dog that responds best to gentle commands. Suzie can be a little shy and cautious at first but warms up quickly when she sees she can trust those around her. We see this often from the dogs that end up in the shelters in small rural towns. They have been on the run for a while and we can only imagine that people have been less than friendly to them as they have been roaming and perhaps considered trespassing on homeowner properties. This girl knows some commands and she knows how to sit when told. She does not understand the command to 'kennel up' but she does not fuss at night when put in a crate for the evening to sleep. She has not had any accidents in the house. She loves to get in your lap and watch TV with you when you are sitting on the couch. She does not try to dig under the fence and she walks well on a leash like a typical Beagle does with a pulling as she follows a scent and her nose is to the ground. She does not 'jump up' on you but she will put her feet on your legs to welcome you home or to say “Hi”. Susie is a very sweet, friendly, loving dog that absolutely loves being surrounded by new friends. She would be a perfect addition to most any family.
