Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Any literature aficionado is familiar with Willa Cather, known for her writings reflecting the starkness of life on the Nebraska Plains. We chose the name Willa as this sweet soul embodies the sometimes harsh life in the Midwest.
Like many of the characters featured in her namesake's novels, Willa had to overcome high odds and many obstacles to get to her foster home. When she entered our care, we had lab work performed as part of the vetting process. Her red blood cell count was abnormal as it was low, then stable, but could change.
Because her diagnosis is unknown at this time and the vet feels it would be potentially detrimental to her to perform more invasive procedures, we have placed Willa with super people who will care for her indefinitely. Today Willa is comfortable, happy and loved by her foster family.
A small contribution of $25 will help provide the medication, supplements, dog food and veterinary treatments needed to keep her healthy and happy while she lives out her life as a sanctuary sweetheart. She will remain in the care of Wag N Train Terrier Rescue for the rest of her life. Your donation is greatly appreciated.
