EAPL will work with her adopter's on her heartworm treatment. EAPL will cover the cost associated with her heartworm treatments (the immedicide injections and her 6mo follow up blood test to insure she is cleared). We have worked with many HW positive dogs and we have an amazing team of vet's that have successfully treated our dogs. Tandy's vet is in Colorado Springs, Belcrest Animal Clinic. The treatment usually lasts about 2mo (with kennel rest) and she is non-contagious to other dogs while going through her treatment (it is transmitted by mosquitos). Once her treatment is completed, she will be a normal happy active dog! Put in your application today and one of our volunteers can talk to you about heartworm treatment and the process.
