My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We have a mosaic male chinchilla that is looking for his new home. He came to NWI a bit ago, and we have down that he was born around 11/8/16. This makes him right around 4 months old, and now is a perfect time for you to take him home and make him part of your family!

This boy’s color is called mosaic, which is basically a white chinchilla with greyish markings. As you can see from his pictures, he’s mostly white and has a super dark grey spot right on his forehead! He also has a little bit of gray shading on his body, which is a little darker on the points of his face, but that spot – how unique!

This boy is a super cute and curious little boy. He likes to wall surf. He’s not necessarily afraid of people, as he doesn’t immediately move away from you (like many chins do) when you reach for him. He may even come up to you and put his paws on your arms. He does well with being handled and petted. As he is a curious boy, he does like to look around and investigate when he’s being held, but he’s perfectly fine with chilling in your arms as well. Super sweet, doesn’t bite.

This chinchilla is currently living alone, and we do not know if he gets along with other chinchillas. If you are curious as to whether he might get along with your, or one of our, chinchillas, let us know and we’ll see what we can do.

This chinchilla would make a great “first chinchilla” for someone who’s never had chinchillas before.

This chinchilla will come with some food to start you out (2 pounds of Tradition pellets), a goodie bags of chews/treats, and a printed out version of our care packet. He will also come with a lifetime of help and support, should you ever need it. If more supplies are needed, we also sell a variety of chinchilla supplies, from cages to hidey houses to hammocks and everything in between.

Regardless of past chinchilla experience, all potential homes will be asked to read our chinchilla care packet and fill out our adoption application/chinchilla questionnaire. If you are unwilling to do this, please do not waste our time or yours. No chinchilla will go to a new home without an adoption application being filled out - no exceptions.

This chinchilla is located in Hammond, Indiana (zip code 46324). We can ship chinchillas from Chicago O’Hare, to a major airport near you. Inquire if interested.

The adoption fee for this mosaic male chinchilla is $200
