A - ANNIE's Story...
Hi, there! My name is ANNIE. What’s yours? Nice to meet ya! I heard there is a curly, red-head named Annie but that's not me!

Hey! Before you get attached to me, read all the way to the bottom. You will see that I am still in Houston, TX but I want to get OUT of Houston and OUT of Texas so I can have a really good life. I want to see Texas in my rear view mirror. A nice person came along and took me in and, now, I am ready to hit the road to your house! Uh, make that “our” house, OK?

I am a Retriever/Spitz/Basenji mix and I am almost 2 years old and I weigh 30 pounds. I have had all of my shots and have been spayed so I can go to my new home with YOU! Those funny-looking 2-legged creatures said I’m also microchipped – whatever THAT is. At any rate, I will be fully vetted. Is that anything close to petted? I love to be petted!

Wanna hear some more good stuff about me? OK, here goes. I am sweet and easy- going in the house. I am very gentle and love everyone. I am sometimes a little shy but I warm up quickly. Once I'm warmed up, I show my oh-so-nice personality. I love to play with toys. I LOVE toys!

I get a little nervous if things get too wild, like if you get too physical with me. That's why I'd probably do best in a home with no children or with children old enough to understand what makes me nervous and shy. I like more calm activities, like going on a leisurely walk with you.

I am house-trained and crate-trained but I don't like to sleep in a crate. I like a big, soft pillow.........or a human! I like my male doggie friend, Barney. So, if you have a doggie that is nice and gentle, I would love to go live with you. Or, if you don't have any doggies at all, that is quite alright with me too!

My foster mom loves me SO much that she only wants me to fly to my new home even if a pet transport truck was available. See my adoption information below.

If you would like to take me home (and you know you do), please email mpringle001@comcast.net and she can get me on my way to a new and loving home! My adoption fee is $650 USD and includes my vetting, spaying, microchip, health certificate, travel crate AND transportation on United Airlines from Houston, TX to areas in the Northeast U. S., North Central U. S., Northwest U. S., and Canada and will be arranged by the rescue group. (This is a courtesy posting.)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

A - ANNIE, a Burlington Retriever (Unknown Type)/Spitz (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Retriever (Unknown Type)/Spitz (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Burlington, or seeking a Retriever (Unknown Type)/Spitz (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Burlington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Burlington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Burlington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Retriever (Unknown Type)/Spitz (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Retriever (Unknown Type)/Spitz (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Burlington paves the way for another one to be saved.
