Rocco's Story...
This adorable bug is Rocco. Rocco is 14 years young and wants nothing more than to be pampered and loved. Unfortunately, Rocco's family was elderly and was no longer able to care for him. He enjoys short walks and getting treats for being pretty. Being pretty is his favorite trick. While others must sit, lay down, and shake a paw, Rocco defaults to his loveliness and waits for his just reward. Ha ha. He loves lap sitting or snuggling next to you on the sofa. As his previous owners were home with him most of the time, he does get lonely when his people leave him alone and will cry until rescued or joined. Rocco does very well with other animals including dogs and cats. Rocco has been noted to be a loud breather but has been vetted and other than some congestion, has a clean bill of health. As Rocco has been in a quiet home most of his life, we would recommend that he not go to a home with young children.

Email us at to meet Rocco. His adoption fee is $200 and includes age appropriate vaccines, neuter, microchip, and heartworm testing.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocco, a Overland Park Papillon dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Papillon for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Papillon dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Papillon breeders who help with Papillon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
