~~Hi, everyone! My name is Charleen and I'm a female Husky who's about a year old. What makes me so special is that I look like a typical Husky, but I'm a smaller version and will remain that way.--you could say I'm a "petite" version. I weigh about 25-28 pounds and my nickname is "Mini-Char" (like miniature...get it?...lol). I'm a sweet young lady who likes to lie down with my front paws crossed-- I look very dainty and pretty when I do that. But, since I'm still young, I'm like any typical pup who can get into mischief. I sometimes dig in the yard if I'm not busy running and chasing balls or playing with my toys. I really love those activities and have so much fun playing with all my buddies at Pet Rescue!
I've lived at Pet Rescue since I was about 3 1/2 months old. I wasn't well taken care of in my former life and I escaped my former owner's yard--even as a very young pup, I knew something wasn't right. I was full of tics and parasites when I was brought to Pet Rescue and I looked thin and sickly. I was very sad, scared, and lonely. But, then Cole of Pet Rescue felt sorry for me and took me home with him every night so I could get well. He fed me, took care of me, and brought me to Pet Rescue when I was better. He also taught me some basic skills such as how to sit, how to walk on a leash, how to lie down on command, and how to "wait for it" so I wouldn't grab a treat out of his hands (see, I told you I was dainty!). I can sometimes even do a "high five"--that's pretty neat, don't you think?
I get along very well with dogs since I've grown up with all my dog pals at Pet Rescue. I even got along well with Cole's dog who is a huge 130 pound male Husky--he was like my brother, but on the huge side!. I'm good with people since everyone has been so kind and loving to me at Pet Rescue. I'd be a great companion and a perfect fit for the right family as I'm good with kids also--I have so many wonderful things going for me! Did I mention that I'm also potty trained and a quiet girl if I have to go into a crate? I'll walk right in without raising a fuss--especially if you have a treat waiting for me!
The only thing I don't have is a "furever" home where one special person/family would love me and take care of me for many years to come. It's my dream to find that special person so my life would be complete. Maybe that person is you! I'm spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date with my vaccinations as well as being sweet, loving, friendly, and clean--what more can you ask for? Won't you please give me a chance? You won't be disappointed! xoxo Your Charming Charleen
