While we're waiting on more photos of Oakley, we didn't want to waste one minute finding him the perfect home!
It must be a blue moon because a real life teddy bear like Oakley doesn't come around very often! Oakley is a magnificent Golden Retriever who lives up to the breed standard in every way. People had seen him all over the county for a couple of weeks -- another unwanted dog, or a mismanaged one by someone who just didn't care. He was finally picked up by animal control and never claimed -- how someone could not keep track of a boy this magnificent is shocking. Oakley is that all-around great boy who loves people and is welcomed by other dogs. He's very playful but in a gentle way so as not to overwhelm. For example, he tailors his play style to the small older poodle at his foster home in the sweetest way, and yet will happily wrestle with the bigger dogs! He's affectionate, very polite and very well mannered. He even just naturally sits before he eats! He loves long walks and going on car rides . . . but please make sure the passenger seat is clear or he'll knock everything off just to climb in! He's a natural-born Co-pilot!! If you've ever had a Golden dream, Oakley will fulfill it and more. We think Oakley is between 1 - 2 years old, he weighs about 60 pounds and he's a very healthy boy. He looks pure but we have no papers on him. If you hold the Golden ticket for this Golden Prince, please visit www.pinkshelter.org for more information about the adoption process or click here for our online application. Full vetting and neuter included in his $550 adoption fee. Transport fee is additional $150. IF YOU HAVE AOL or YAHOO PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM FILE FOR OUR RESPONSE
