After 4 years of bring imprisoned in a puppy mill with no control over anything in her world, Fran was finally given her ticket to freedom and the first thing she did . . . . was nap. And when she finally woke up, she smiled, turned over, and napped again!!
Fran isn't in a hurry to do anything. In her world, everything can wait till tomorrow, and we think she's earned her easy-going attitude and deserves to be a Lady of Leisure. Occasionally she'll play with squeaky toys and chew bones (grunting and snorting while she chews, of course!) but mostly, she is extremely lazy. She falls deeply in love with her person and loves to stick by them, standing between their feet or laying on a foot. She loves her head and cheeks scratched and her belly rubbed, and if she ever got a full-on body massage she'd be in heaven! She’s pretty funny when she eats because she won’t eat from a bowl, insisting instead on pushing her food off of a paper plate and then eating it. She's definitely decided Queen is Best and can be pushy when others are getting attention, so we are specifically looking for a home where she will be the only dog. And we think she's earned that, too.
When we got Fran from the rotten puppy miller, she came to us with ears so badly infected they were swollen shut. We got her immediate vet care that cleared the infection but because she must have lived like that for years, her ears will never be normal. She can hear, but it's like she has ear muffs on. Fran is also your typical Frenchie, complete with the skin issues prone to the breed. She will need to be kept on a strict diet to keep her yeast under control. But she'll pay you back for all that extra TLC with love: hands down, she is the sweetest, most chill Frenchie we've ever met.
