My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sam has been with one owner since he was 10 weeks old and through sad, unfortunate circumstances, Sam’s owner is no longer able to care for him and his brother Guiness (who is also posted for adoption). Sam has been a beloved pet and has been very well cared for during his life. He has been living in a family environment with children and his dog-brother Guiness his entire life, has been well trained and is an amazing family pet. Sam is 4 years old and weighs approximately 130 lbs.

Sam is a sweet, quiet and friendly boy. He knows all of his basic commands and is up to date with vaccinations, neutering, etc. He is house and crate trained but does not use a crate and has always slept nicely beside his owner’s bed at night. Sam loves to meet new friends at the dog park and loves hiking on the trails around the city. He is left on his own in the home for a normal working day with no issues and was the best friend to a young girl who will miss him dearly.

Sam has a wonderful personality. He is a very gentle dog, a big teddy bear of a dog, a wonderful family pet. His one quirk is that he will steal food off of the counter if left out. He has not lived with cats so we are unsure how he would be with them but he is great with children of all ages and doesn’t appear to have much in the way of a prey drive.
