Trooper is a 3-legged, 4 year old male blue heeler who, through no fault of his own, is in need of a new home. He is the easiest dog (of any breed) that I've ever brought home to foster. Trooper is crate trained and house trained. He is incredibly smart and is excelling at basic obedience. Part of what makes Trooper special is the fact that he is so happy---all the time! This heeler is friendly and loves everyone. Right now Trooper lives with a very grumpy senior female heeler who he loves and a small dog that he ignores. He has been around horses and minds his manners, even on trail rides. Trooper also lives with a house cat but shows too much "interest" so I would recommend no cats. We are hoping for a home with herding dog experience. Troop will need a fenced yard since he is 3 legged because of chasing (and catching) a car

All of our dogs are tested for heartworm, are up to date on vaccines and started on flea and tick prevention. All our cats are tested for feline leukemia, FIV and heartworm upon entry and are brought up to date on all vaccines appropriate for their age and treated for fleas and ticks. If a pet is too young to be spay/neuter at the time of adoption a voucher will be provided to cover the cost of the surgery.

We bring most of our available dogs to the Pet Supplies Plus on Wilson Ave in Grandville MI on the 1st two Saturdays of each month from noon until 4 pm. If you want to see them at other times you have to send us an Email to make arrangements. Since many of our dogs are in foster homes it may take some time to make the viewing arrangements if you can't come to Pet Supplies Plus. Many of our cats are available for viewing at Pet Supplies Plus any day during their store hours.
