My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoptable HAPPY is available for adoption come check her out. HAPPY has basic obedience, she knows name, sit, down, come and touch (which is targeting). Happy is fully vetted, spayed & Micro chipped. As you can see HAPPY gets along with other dogs she is currently in a foster home with 3 others and loves playing with them. HAPPY is all about her toys she enjoys her time laying and chewing on them she loves to fetch and brings back to you for another round of toss.

All of the dogs in our Rescue are in Foster homes while they are looking for their forever family. The only time we put a dog in boarding is for a Foster to go on vacation if another Foster is not able to care for them. We appreciate your taking the time to fill out the application to adopt one of our Guardians of the Green Mile pets. The questions that we ask are to only find the right fit for all of our dogs and the families that will be adopting them. Adoption fees are $250 for dogs that are 1 year and older. $300 for puppies under 1 year. Included in the adoption fee: All animals will be fully vetted, micro chipped and spayed or neutered. (Deposit of $50.00 required if they are not old enough to have the surgery) Renter’s will be required to submit a copy of their lease agreement to verify Landlord and also All Fosters and Adopters that have personal animals must be spayed / neutered. Age appropriate and healthy enough for surgery, we will verify that with the reference call to your Veterinarian.

We are 100% volunteer operated and will process your application within a few days to a week depending on volunteer availability. We will be checking with your veterinarian and personal references, please let them know ahead of time. Applicants will be interviewed and require a home visit before being approved to adopt or foster a dog from GOTGM.
