Zeus's Story...
Zeus was transferred into our shelter from another shelter. This is their description. "He is a total lovebug with people (he believes he’s a lap dog) and has done well with a submissive male hound (play bows and everything!). He is strong willed and prefers to be the boss so he would probably do best in an only dog home or with submissive companions. He has taken part in several large group walks with other dogs without any negative reactions and will turn away to avoid conflict if possible if another dog approaches him in an aggressive manner. He was owner surrendered because he got into a fight with the other intact male at the house over an opossum. He had lived his first 3 years with 2 dogs and had no incidents. Zeus will make a fantastic companion in the right home for him."

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zeus, a Newland Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Newland, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Newland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newland paves the way for another one to be saved.
