Life has not always been so kind for our sweet Toby. As you can see by his before picture, someone severely neglected him to the point his skin looked like this when he was turned into a local animal control. Because most people are not looking to adopt dogs that look like our sweet Toby, his chances of being adopted and not euthanized were slim. Friends of Rescue stepped in to bring this baby into our program and get him healthy and adoptable. And now, adoptable he IS! Check out his beautiful shiny coat and he is now healthy and happy. Toby is being fostered in a home with 3 other dogs – two large and one medium sized. His favorite things to do are fetch tennis balls in the backyard and cuddle in your lap on the recliner like a 5 lb Chihuahua! Sweet Toby is about 2 years old and he loves to play. He would enjoy an equally playful dog friend or maybe a faithful running companion. He also enjoys hanging out at your feet (or on the couch beside you) when you wind down for the day. His foster home has 2 children under the age of 7 that Toby does fine with. Sometimes he can get excited and jump, so we would recommend a home with children that are his size or bigger, possibly 10 years and up. Toby loves to lay his head on your leg and look up at you with his precious big eyes that beg you to go outside for a play or just give him head scratches. He is crate-trained and will go in on command, and house trained. Toby is a Cinderella story who deserves his happily ever after. If you think he might be a fit for you, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or fill out our adoption application here: http://forrescue.net/dog- application/
Toby is neutered, current on Rabies, Distemper/Parvo and Bordetella vaccines, and microchipped.
