Sherman is large and in charge!
He is a 95lb. two year old Shepherd/Boxer mix.He is very active and friendly with people. He is neutered, micro chipped, and current on shots. He is reactive to strange dogs, and is prey driven, so NO cats. Sherman loves dinner time and will jump up in the air in excitement! He is very affectionate and will lean on you to show his love. He needs a home where he can be the only dog, with no cats, or small children. He is not house trained yet,as he is an outside dog, but he is a smart boy and will learn quickly. Sherman's adoption fee has been reduced to just $125 to help offset medical expenses, as her 78 year old foster mom is facing a health crisis, and it is critical that we find a new foster/forever home soon. . Sherman deserves a chance to show just what a great boy he can be. Do you have a heart and home large enough for this special boy?

About Cody's Friends Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

About us: Cody was the first pet I owned as an adult. He was a Shih Tzu that I bought unknowingly, from a Puppy Mill. He fought for his life and barely survived, suffering for the first few months of his life. From then on I was stirred by a ferocious passion to save as many dogs as I could through networking with other rescue groups and saving the ones I could off of cold streets and unwanted in shelters. Cody did not live a very long life due to a weakened body, but I was able to love on him for eight good years! He will always be loved and forever remembered. With over 400 dogs rescued so far, we ARE making a difference!!
Thank you for visiting and considering a rescue........................

Our Adoption Process...

Thank you for adopting and not buying!!! Every week hundreds of highly adoptabledogs are put to death by local shelters. Most people would be amazed at the purebred and beautiful dogs available, if they walked into their neighborhood shelter.

Rescue organizations, like mine, work hard to save as many as we possibly can but is a never ending process with breeders and Puppy Mills selling unhealthy animals to the public. If you EVER saw a puppy mill you would NEVER buy again!

All of my dogs are neutered or spayed, vet checked, completely vaccinated, wormed, groomed and checked for heart worms. They are all are current on Heart worm medicine, flea, and tick medications. Upon request, they are all microchipped as well.

Adoption fee is $200 to $250 (older "friends' can be less, please inquire. Puppies are $300 - Besides fully vetting all dogs, some of of the dogs I rescue, 1 in 5 I rescue have heart worms which is very expensive to treat. I also take in dogs who need surgeries and are close to death.
** Please note that I do not usually adopt out my dogs with children under four years of age.
