My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Smoke! Smoke is an 18 month of Lilac colored Border Collie. His coat is a beautiful dusty gray with red/pink tones and pink nose. When Smoke was rescued, he was basically bald. He had minimal to no fur due to a poor nutrition and a severe flea allergy. His coat is recovering and coming back nicely. Smoke is a very happy go lucky boy! He has never met a stranger and loves everyone and everything except puppies. He is great with other dogs, kittens, cats, and kids – just not puppies. He is a high energy boy who has a nice “off switch”. He LOVES to play ball! Returning it can be a challenge as he will bring it back and tease you to chase him so you have to play with at least 2 balls! He has a soft personality like most Border Collies and is sensitive to harsh voices or negativity. He is still very puppy but has learned sit, come and is getting comfortable with his crate. He has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He is heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention. His flea allergy is controlled well with grainfree high quality food as well as topical flea tick prevention. If spending a lot of time outside, then we wipe him down with a doggie wipe to remove pollens and anything that could make him think he has a bug on him (essentially a flea allergy is when a dog thinks they have fleas even when they don’t, so a fly or mosquito touching the dog can set off the feeling of having fleas, even when none exist).
