Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Peanut!
Mr. Peanut is a Chihuahua/Terrier mix who is approximately 7 years old. He loves to burrow into his blanket and chase small tennis balls…although he prefers the game of keep away to standard fetch, so you’ll need to have more than one! He is equally happy hanging next to you on the couch, watching a movie. He’s housebroken and walks well on a leash. He currently sleeps in a kennel at night without complaint, although he'd probably love a comfy spot next to you.
Peanut has not had the easiest life and has trust issues. When he’s frightened or unsure, he can react by nipping. Some of his fear triggers include large groups and sudden movements by someone he doesn’t know well or trust just yet. Peanut will need lots of love and patience to help build his confidence. He will do best with an experienced dog owner who can help calm him during stressful moments and be a partner in training.
Peanut is currently in a home with other cats and dogs. He typically ignores both, but may give chase if one of the cats run. He hasn’t bonded with the other animals so he would be fine as an only pet. We cannot recommend Peanut to a home with small children as he is easily startled.
Peanut is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccinations. His adoption fee is $400. Please fill out an application online to arrange a meet and greet.
