Opie and his sister Roxy SCAS (also on this site) were dropped off at a home in the Georgia mountains. The family kept Roxy for a couple of months, and then gave Opie to a neighbor. This neighbor did not take care of Opie as well as Roxy got cared for, and he was neglected. A vet found out about Opie and took him in under her care.
Opie is 8 months old & weighs around 30 pounds. The vet said in her opinion that he is a Pug mix. The man at this home was not nice to Opie. He is a little shy of men at first, but then warms up quickly. This just proves how important it is for puppies to be shown lots of love and kindness. The vet says that Opie is mostly housebroken, and walks on a leash. Opie loves to play, and is a very affectionate and sweet boy. Opie is also fine with other dogs and children.
Opie has now been neutered and fully vetted, and will make a wonderful family pet. Please fill out an application on Opie today, since he will be arriving on March 30th. Be sure to mention his name, OPIE SCAS!
