Hunter's Story...
Meet Hunter
Available for adoption in New England and the Midwest

This handsome boy is Hunter! He is a gorgeous 2-year-old black lab mix weighing approximately 50 pounds. Hunter needs to gain a few pounds, but he will fill out into a magnificent dog with the right amount of food, exercise, care and love. He is a very curious boy and acts like a younger dog, still very puppy like, but just needs some socialization and training. Hunter is a pretty active guy, with some energy to burn, so we are looking for an active family who will take him hiking, or on long walks in the woods or on the beach. A large fenced in yard where he can romp and play would also be a plus. Hunter can get pretty excited when meeting new people, but he just needs someone to work with him on developing some manners.

Hunter is neutered, up to date of vaccinations, micro chipped, and on heartworm/flea preventative. If you are interested in adopting this great boy, go to www.luckylabrescue.com and indicate your interest in his in the notes section.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hunter, a Brattleboro Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Brattleboro, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Brattleboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brattleboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brattleboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brattleboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
