Chuck (A151307) is as curious as pups get. He may be 5 years old, but he's as curious as a puppy and is always up for meeting new people and exploring new places. He is the perfect petite size to be your right hand man for any everyday adventure. He walks very well on leash and doesn't mind being carried, although he'd much rather walk along side and sniff of the smells of the world. He's gone over to one of our volunteer's house for playdates and has done amazing in a home setting and with other little dogs. So what are you waiting for? Chuck is ready to explore with his fur-ever family! Email ycasrescue@gmail.com to arrange a meeting.

All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).  All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and tested Feline Leukemia negative (if under 6 months) or Feline Leukemia and Feline AIDS negative (if over 6 months). The shelter is open Tuesdays-Fridays from 10am-1pm and 2pm-6pm and Saturdays from 10am-1pm and 2pm-4pm. Please note that adoptions stop 1/2 hour prior to closing for lunch and for the day. The shelter is closed Sundays and Mondays.

Our Adoption Process...

See http://www.yolocountysheriff.com/anifees.html

To adopt you must have a photo ID and proof of your current address. If not on your ID then bring in a bill with your name and your current address. If you rent you must provide a lease clearly stating the pet policy or provide a name and phone number for your landlord so that we may confirm the pet policy. If you own your home you may provide a mortgage statement or property tax bill for proof. If you wish to adopt a dog and have other dog(s) at home, please bring them with you to the shelter so that they may meet. Even if your dog is wonderful with other dogs, many of the dogs at the shelter have come in as strays so we have no history on them and need to be sure they get along with your pet(s). If you have any other questions, please call the shelter for more information.
